We do this by connecting siloed operating systems together, unifying them in the cloud, modelling them together, and operationalizing them to create significant business impact. We work agnostically across all systems and infrastructures, but also have a core Google Cloud practice, as Google Cloud and Looker implementation partners.  


We currently have a need for a Cloud Network and Security Engineer to provide design, consulting, implementation, and support services to our team, partners and clients. We are looking for a talented, high performing individual capable of creating and implementing Cloud Security solutions to digitally transform and enhance customer environments within Google Cloud and/or Azure platforms. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop public cloud security monitoring architectures and data flow patterns for AWS, Azure and/or GCP; 
  • Understand and develop solutions using various cloud and related technologies, collaborate with internal and vendor teams on defining and evolving monitoring and response use cases to fully leverage these solutions; 
  • Evaluate new features and recommend enhancements to service offerings;
  • Provide subject matter expertise for solutions such as GCP Security Command Center and/or Azure Sentinel/Splunk, facilitate the initial SIEM deployment and oversee SIEM operations; 
  • Own engineering and integration efforts for O365, Azure, ASC, Sentinel, MDATP, and other related technologies in the Microsoft stack, develop POCs and implement solutions to consolidate views and portals;
  • Develop technical documentation and assist with creation of operational runbooks and guides;
  • Occasionally you may be asked to assist with pre-sales opportunities, customer onboarding & enablement, customer satisfaction opportunities
  • Provide mentoring and training and oversee efforts by junior staff members and contractors;
  • Overseeing threat modeling for applications and services to identify security threats, weaknesses and associated countermeasures; 
  • Ensuring that final design addresses identified threats and countermeasures during threat modeling;
  • Design and Implementation of DMZ networks and Cloud connectivity;
  • Manage secure connections for:
  • Hybrid Cloud,  Cloud to on-prem flows; and, 
  • Multi-Cloud, Cloud to Cloud (i.e. AWS <-> GCP). 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Computer Science, CIS/MIS, Engineering); 
  • Mix of security and delivery expertise in Cloud security with ability to cross sell into other security practice areas;
  • 3+ years experience in AWS, GCP or Azure cloud security, networking and microservices including designing and architecting solutions; 
  • 3+ years working experience on infrastructure and microservices security assessments and/or architecture design; 
  • Experience in implementation of cloud solutions across various service areas/groups; 
  • Experience building DevOps practices for cloud infrastructure delivery; 
  • Able to recommend and differentiate between cloud vendor offerings, with special emphasis on GCP, Azure and/or Security native offerings and how they rank against market offerings;  
  • Strong ability to lay down a high-level cloud infrastructure security architecture, outlining logical and technical security architecture components
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills; and,  
  • Experience managing delivery of multiple projects with different deadlines effectively for customer/company facing environments/workloads. 

Nice to Haves

  • In possession of, or able to qualify for, Canadian security clearance strongly preferred;
  • Industry recognized professional Security certification preferred (CISSP, CISM); and, 
  • Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification.
